About the Tongue Tie Care Center

Are you experiencing sore, damaged nipples, clicking or gulping sounds while your baby feeds, frequent unlatching, shallow latch, or fussiness at the breast? Has your baby been diagnosed with reflux, excessive gas, colic-like behavior, slow weight gain, or falling asleep mid-feed only to wake up hungry again? Does feeding feel like an endless loop of frustration—for both of you? Are you battling the inner voice that wonders if you’re doing something wrong, even when every part of you is doing your best?

For many families, breastfeeding becomes a battlefield, not because of a lack of love or effort, but because something isn’t functioning the way it’s supposed to—often in ways that are hard to see. Tongue tie, especially when posterior or submucosal, can be one of those unseen barriers. And yet, it’s not always what the tongue looks like—it’s what it can or cannot do. At Nourish & Nurture Tongue Tie Care Center, we deeply draw that functional assessment carries more weight than anatomical appearance. A baby may have a tongue that “looks normal” yet struggles significantly with the core function of feeding, breathing, and bonding.

We draw from observant, cutting-edge clinical understanding—merging structural and functional assessments with a world-class, evidence-based approach to evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. Our work is led by Effath Yasmin, India’s first IBCLC to clinically evaluate posterior tongue tie and assist in the country’s first posterior tongue release via frenotomy with Dr. Suchetan Pradhan, a acclaimed Implantologist in Mumbai way back in 2011.

She is also the co-founder of ICAP  (International Consortium of Oral Ankylofrenulae Professionals), a pioneering global organization dedicated to the advancement of clinical and professional understanding in oral restrictions. Since 2016, ICAP has brought together researchers, clinicians, and multidisciplinary professionals to redefine how we recognize and restore oral function—not just in infants, but across the lifespan.

Through years of pioneering care, we’ve learned to listen not just to the symptom, but to the whole story—the relational dynamic between mother and baby, the subtle cues of the body, and the language of the nervous system.

What can you expect in your first consultation and follow-up sessions?

Your first visit is a safe and unhurried space where we begin with deep listening. We take time to hear your story—your concerns, your story of the conception, pregnancy, birth experience, your motherfeeding journey so far. We observe a full feed either at breast or a bottle and conduct a comprehensive oral, cranial functional assessment, primitive reflex evaluation and fascial strain analysis of your baby, looking far beyond the surface to understand how structure, movement, and reflexes are interacting. You’ll leave with clarity, education, and a collaborative care plan tailored to your baby’s unique needs.

If treatment is indicated, we guide you through the process with full transparency and emotional support. Follow-up sessions focus on integrative rehabilitation—helping your baby’s body and nervous system adjust to new patterns, rebuild efficient feeding skills, and support long-term craniofacial development and well-being. These sessions may include functional therapy, biodynamic craniosacral therapy, lactation support, and gentle home care guidance.

Our goal is always a restored function that includes a relationship at mother’s breast, a baby who feeds with ease, and a family that feels whole again.
