In her words, "I am essentially an educator as I feel it. Since the time I can remember about my growing years with a head full of questions and more questions until a profound thing that happened to me ‘Motherhood’. The buzzing questions in my mind began to have answers. I am now on a road to revelation of life’s most essential answers through my role of being a mother to my 9 year old daughter and my work with mothers, babies, fathers and families. This chrysalis of becoming a mother hasn’t been easy to me. My several miscarriages, my baby’s birth, breastfeeding formed an inevitable share of profound challenges that made me evolve as a human being.
The challenges around nursing my baby post a surgical birth and a bed-ridden pregnancy were questions which needed answers and unraveling them needed me to reach out for help. And I did just that and that changed my life. Some very beautiful people whom I met and connected with along the journey were truly God’s plan for me to know the purpose of my life.
Where once I thought breastfeeding should be simple and natural and all the new mothers will need is just some emotional support to get by and some practical help; I had not realized then that I had set out to explore an ocean of knowledge and depth of the subject. My pursuit lead me to a wealth of knowledge for good health and healing. Along my way I become a La Leche League Leader which I felt I was called for and have counseled & worked with over thousand mothers as a volunteer. I began to observe deeper issues among these mothers and babies I was seeing in my private practice and this called me to acquire advanced knowledge on human lactation and therapeutic modality - craniosacral biodynamics. This path has made me feel deeply blessed to have become an essential part of the health care team to collaborate and work with other health care professionals towards better health care for mothers, children and families. Thinking about the pathway of Lactation Science & Living Science of a Human Body has been the most exhilarating and intellectually profound experiences of my life. I have become humbled by the complexity and power of what instinctual motherhood and the life force in a human being can transform.
While I continue to learn every day in my practice, I have been able to value these learning’s in my personal life as a human being which has bought along fulfillment and enrichment into our lives. I now have a purpose in my life through the prism of my many challenges of life as a woman, as a mother and as a human being.
I realize, although the enormity of the challenge sets a humongous task ahead. This I feel called for and I am committed."
